Electronic Device Policy
ELECTRONIC DEVICE POLICY
From the time students step on campus to 3 PM (1:20pm on Wednesdays and other early release days), students will refrain from using personal electronic devices anywhere on campus (Blacktop, classrooms, library, and quad). Any electronic device being used without explicit permission of a district employee will be confiscated.
When an electronic device is confiscated, the consequences will be as follows:
1st Offense – The device is confiscated and turned in to the office to be securely stored under lock and key. The student can pick up the device at the front office at the end of the day.
2nd Offense – The device is confiscated and turned in to the office. The device will be securely stored in the office under lock and key. The student's must have their parent/guardian (or other individual as per administrative approval) meet with administration and the device will be given to the parent/guardian at that time. The student will be placed on an electronic device contract.
3rd Offense - The device is confiscated and turned in to the office. The device will be securely stored in the office under lock and key until
the last day of the school year.
There will be additional consequences for students who refuse to surrender their electronic device when requested.
